SPECTRA 2010 National Photography Triennial will feature a print from Nurturing Time at the Silvermine Guild Arts Center in New Canaan, Connecticut. Juror Brian Paul Clamp, owner of ClampArt in NYC, selected Oranges and Stones to be part of the group show, which runs from November 14 to December 23, 2010.
A jury of two dozen members of the photography community from across the US has selected David and his series Nurturing Time as a Finalist in the annual, online competition Critical Mass, organized by Photolucida. More than 200 highly regarded international photography professionals will review David’s work as part of the second round of judging.
David has been invited to participate in Review Santa Fe 2010, the premier juried portfolio review event in the US, held annually in Santa Fe, New Mexico. He will have the opportunity to share his work with esteemed curators, publishers and gallerists from throughout the country.
Corden|Potts Gallery in San Francisco will show Untitled (Dome) from Transform/Transcend in the group exhibition Home for the Holidays, from December 1, 2009 to January 2, 2010.
David has been invited to the Lishui International Photography Festival in Lishui, China to exhibit Nurturing Time in a solo exhibition. The series will be presented in the context of an exhibition that features the work of invited North American photographers, organized by Beijing-based curator, Wang Zheng.
The festival is a biannual event located in Zhejiang Province, south of Shanghai in Eastern China, which brings together photographers, curators, gallerists and publishers from China, Europe and North America. The festival runs from November 28 to December 2, 2009.
As part of the exhibition It’s Still Life, the RayKo Photo Center in San Francisco will show Gazania Tangle from Nurturing Time, Life in a Backyard Garden. The show runs from August 6 to September 22, 2009.
The Santa Barbara Museum of Art will show Untitled (Coca Cola) from Transform/Transcend, as part of an exhibition devoted to works acquired for the Museum’s permanent photography collection over the past ten years by the collector’s group, PhotoFutures. The exhibition, Ten, runs from September 27, 2008 to April 5, 2009.
A dozen images from Left Behind have been chosen for the debut of the online gallery, Expiration Notice. The gallery will feature monthly juried shows of work by “emerging photographers 35 and older,” who have yet to attain the recognition they deserve.
The Photographic Center Northwest in Seattle will show Untitled (Boy) from Street Level in their Annual Juried Members’ Exhibition. Marisa Sanchez, Assistant Curator of Modern and Contemporary Art, Seattle Art Museum, chose David’s piece for the group exhibition, which runs from November 30, 2007 to January 15, 2008.
The Griffin Museum of Photography outside Boston will feature a selection of prints from Transform/Transcend in a two-person show concurrent with their 13th Annual Juried Exhibition. Brian Paul Clamp, owner of ClampArt in NYC, chose David’s work for the exhibition, which runs from August 23 to October 28, 2007.
